INFORMATION FOR AUTHORS

Scientific and practical journal "Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology" is the regular print publication for clinicians, researchers and health authorities. The Journal publishes original articles on clinical and experimental studies, notes from practice, discussions, literature reviews and information materials on topical issues of diagnostic and interventional radiology on various fields of medicine.

Main Journal sections:

Diagnostic radiology, minimally invasive intervention procedures in neurosurgery and neurology, cardiology and cardiac surgery, angiology, vascular surgery, oncology, abdominal surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, urology, treatment of the musculoskeletal system disorders.

Responsibility of authors:

Presenting the text of the article for publication in the Journal, author guarantee the accuracy of all information about themselves, absence of plagiarism and other forms of improper adopting in the manuscript, proper registration of all adoptions of text, tables, charts and illustrations. Authors of published materials are responsible for the choice and the accuracy of facts, quotes, statistics and other information.

Editors are not responsible for the accuracy of the information given by the authors. Author, by sending the manuscript to the editorial office, takes personal responsibility for the originality of this research and authorize the editors to publish it in the Journal.

Plagiarism is considered as intentional attribution of authorship of work of science, or thoughts, or art, or invention what belongs to others. Plagiarism may be a violation of copyright law and patent law and may entail legal responsibility of the author.

The author guarantees the presence of his exclusive right to use the material transferred to the editors’ office. In case of violation of this warranty and presentation of claims to the editorial, the author agrees to settle all claims at his own expense. Editors are not responsible in front of third parties for violation of warranty by the author. The editors reserve to themselves the right to send the article for the additional review. In this case, the timing of publication is prolonged. Materials of additional review are presented to the author. Sending the manuscript to the editorial office for publication indicates the acceptance of the above-mentioned requirements.

Order of manuscripts submission

Editorial Board accepts manuscripts for consideration in printed form, accompanied by electronic media or received by e-mail (e-mail: siv1966@mail.ru: radiology-di@hotmail.com) and mandatory registration of accompanying documents.

 

Covering letter design

Covering letter for scientific article has to be issued on the official form of the institution where the work was done and to be signed by the head of the institution.

If the covering letter is not issued on the official form and does not have the signature of head of institution, all authors of scientific articles must sign it.

Cover letter necessarily (!) must contain the following text:

Hereby we guarantee that the publication of a scientific article in the journal "Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology" does not violate any copyrights. The author(s) transfers the unexceptional rights to use this article via publication the full-text versions on the internet site of the journal to the journal founder during the unlimited period.

The author(s) is responsible for the misuse of intellectual property in the article in full accordance with the current legislation.

The author (s) confirms that manuscript was not published earlier and will not be sent to other journals for publication.

We also confirm that the author (s) agree with the rules of preparing the manuscript for publication, approved by the editors of the journal “Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology” published and posted on the official website of the magazine.

The editorial board reserves the right to refuse the manuscript that received a negative review or not corresponding to the Journals profile. Rejected manuscripts will not be returned.

When working on a manuscript, authors should read the rules for authors. Manuscripts not corresponding to the rules will be returned to the authors without review.

General rules

The manuscript should be directed to the Editor in duplicate, signed by all authors. On the first page it should contain the visa of the head of the institution certified by the seal. Covering letter confirming the publication rights transfer should be attached. The expert advice of the head of the institution about the absence of information not be published should also be attached.

1. The articles title should meet the following requirements:

• titles of scientific articles should be informative ( Web of Science international databases and Scopus - considers this requirement in the expert system as one of the core) ;

• in the title of articles only standard abbreviations can be used;

• Titles of articles in English should not contain any transliteration from Russian (except for proper names and untranslatable titles of instruments and other objects) or untranslatable slang known only to the Russian-speaking professionals.

This also applies to abstracts and keywords.

 

2. Names of authors, titles, academic degrees and place of work (address) in Russian and English languages.

All data should be presented in English in one of the accepted international transliteration systems.

The site www.translit.ru can be used for free of charge transliteration of Russian text in Latin.

All materials (text, images, grouped on separate pages, captions, tables, references and a summary in English) should be provided in duplicate. The materials should be accompanied by information about the authors, address, telephone number (office, home and mobile ), fax, e-mail and indicate the author responsible for correspondence with editors and work with proofs.

The volume of the original article, including references, tables, figures, captions, should not exceed 20 typewritten pages, review - no more than 15 pages, brief messages - no more than 10 typewritten pages.

Text of the article should be printed in half interval, leaving the field on the left side 4 cm on white standard paper size (A4 size, 210 × 297 mm). All pages of the manuscript should be numbered in Arabic numerals at the top centre of the page.

Text files on electronic media should be provided in Microsoft Word format, version 6.0 or later. Font - Times New Roman, font size - 14 points. Before sending to the editors electronic media should be checked for the presence of computer viruses.

The text is typed on a full page, without hyphenation. When placing text, one can use italics, bold, sub-and superscripts, mathematical symbols.
Preparing the illustrative material (grayscale drawings and photographs, vector graphics) file should be  provided with an extension TIFF, with a resolution of 300 DPI, picture size - not less than 80 × 80 mm. Each figure should have a caption signature, enabling reader to understand the figure without reference to the text.

Halftone images, photos and graphics should be provided on A4 white paper.

Cover Sheet should contain: title; names, names of the author (s) in a column printed in Russian and English languages ​​, indicating the higher of their existing degrees (ranks) , next to each name of the author of his signature, full name of the institution where the study was performed, the name and academic title of the head; contact address of authors for publication in the journal , surname, postal and email address, phone number of the author responsible for correspondence with the editors of the Russian and English languages.

Abstract and key words: in Russian and English languages. In the summary authors' transcription of names will be used. Resumes should be structured and contain no more than 250 words. Resume should summarize the subject of articles, materials and methods and the main results contained therein. Abstract in English at the beginning of the text should contain a header (title) articles, authors' names in English as well.

Original article should have the following composition: introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion, conclusion (conclusions). In large articles, sections "Results" and "Discussion" may have subtitles.

The review article should include an analysis of the results of studies in the last 5 years with an objective assessment. Figures in literature reviews are not accepted. The publication of tables containing aggregated data of cited studies is allowed.

Case report includes clinical data sufficient amount of illustrations that reflect the essence of the problem, and a discussion of the issue using data from the literature.

Bibliographic references should be checked against the originals and given under the heading "References" on a separate sheet. References to unpublished works are not permitted. In the text references should be indicated with an ordinal numeral in square brackets [1], [2-4], [7, 8]. References should be numbered in a fixed order mentioned in the text.

The following bibliographic standard should be used in the reference:  
Authors, title of the article, the name of the source, the output (digital).

Illustrations: drawings, graphs, charts, photographs should be submitted in TIFF format with a resolution of at least 300 dpi. All illustrative material should be contrasting, pictures should be clear, drawings and diagrams - executed in ink on tracing paper or drawing paper or on a personal computer. If any notations on the image are necessary, they should be made on the second copy or photocopy. Original must not have any stickers and markings.

Figures should not contain the names of patients and doctors who performed the study.

On the reverse side of each figure it’s number, author's name and title of the article should be placed, and also the top of the figure should be marked (with a simple soft pencil). The same type of images must be identical in size, scale, nature of information.

The overall figure caption should be given and then all available digital and literal marks should be explained (2 copies on a separate sheet). When lettering only Cyrillic capital letters should be used!
